    ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

The International Conference on Intelligent Unmanned Systems 2011 is

organized by the Center for Bio-Micro Robotics Research at Chiba

University, Japan. The event is the 7th conference extending from

    previous conferences held in Seoul-Korea (2005,2006), Bali-Indonesia

    ( 2007), Nanjing-China (2008), Jeju-Korea (2009) and Bali-Indonesia

    (2010).

ICIUS 2011 focuses on both theory and application primarily

covering the topics on robotics, autonomous vehicles, intelligent

unmanned technologies and biomimetics. We will invite several

prominent keynote speakers who will focus on related state-of-the-

art technologies including Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) & Micro

Air Vehicles (MAVs), Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), Bio-inspired

robotics, Advanced Control, Intelligent Systems etc.

Simultaneously, the exhibition & demonstrations will showcase

advanced relevant technologies in this field.

Papers must be written in English and describe original work.

Submitted papers, either for review or publication (after

acceptance), must be formatted in the standard IEEE double column

Proceedings format and conform to the template available at the

    conference website.

?For publication in the proceedings, accepted papers are

    limited to

8 pages. Papers are allowed up to a maximum of an additional 2

pages, which is subject to over-length page charge.

?Upon acceptance, at least one of the authors of the paper

    must

register for the conference in order for the paper to be included in

    the proceedings.

?We will launch a new journal after the conference, which will

    be

named the “International Journal on Intelligent Unmanned Systems”.

A few selected outstanding papers will be invited for publication in

    this new journal.
