 ** ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM **We are pleased to announce the inaugural meeting of the World Symposium onTransport and Land Use Research (WSTLUR) to be held in Whistler, BritishColumbia, July 28-30, 2011. The conference will bring together academics andpractitioners at the intersection of economics, planning, and engineering inthe fields of transport and land use.In addition to presentations based on rigorously peer-reviewed papers, theconference program will include confirmed plenary presentations from:--Ed Glaeser  (Fred and Eleanor Glimp Professor of Economics, Department ofEconomics, Harvard University), Keynote Address--Robert Cervero  (Professor of City & Regional Planning, University ofCalifornia, Berkeley), Featured Luncheon Speaker--David Banister  (Professor of Transport Studies, Oxford University), FeaturedLuncheon Speaker** SUBMISSION OF PAPERS **Join this exciting initiative by presenting original and interdisciplinaryresearch papers on topics addressing the interaction of transport and land use.Welcome domains include: engineering, planning, modeling, behavior, economics,geography, regional science, sociology, architecture and design, networkscience, and complex systems. Papers will be categorized and ranked by peerreviewers. Theoretical, empirical, case-study, and policy-orientedcontributions are welcome.All papers will be considered for publication in the Journal of Transportationand Land Use.
