Raisinghani, TWU School of Management, Executive MBA Program, USACelia Romm Livermore, School of Business Administration, Wayne StateUniversity, USAIntroductionThe power and politics (or social dynamics) of the on-line classroom, the politics of getting a large organization, like a university, toadopt educational technologies to promote specific political agendasin classrooms (e.g., the utilization of the Web during the Obamacampaign to promote support for the presidential candidate Obama amongschool children), the use of on-line technologies for ideologicalindoctrination or "influencing" in the educational systems ofextremist groups of all religions and issues of power and politicsthat are related to the on-line education of special needs minoritiessuch as people who are physically/intellectually challenged, people ofcolor, women, migrants, and so forth. The changing dimensions of‘technology’ and ‘learning’ have significant impact globally. Canada was the first country to achieve the targetof over 50 percent of people aged 25 and 34 to enter the job marketwith a tertiary level qualification, followed by Korea, which hasengineered a massive growth in tertiary provision since 1991.
