    Call For Papers - CFP

The European Microscopy Congress, emc2012, will be one of the largest microscopy and scientific imaging conferences in the world. The conference runs every four years and attracts well over 1,000 delegates. In 2012, a further 1,000 exhibition day visitors are expected.

Plenary lectures will take place each morning followed by six parallel sessions.

High-quality science will be the driver, and the aims of the scientific organisers are to strike a balance between light and electron microscopy, and life and physical sciences, including for example Multi-photon Fluorescence Microscopy, Confocal Microscopy, X-ray Synchrotron, Flow Cytometry, Scanning Probe Microscopy, Scanning and Transmission Electron Microscopy, and Focused Ion Beam.

The Chair of the Congress is Dr Debbie Stokes, with Professor Tony Wilson, Dr Peter O’Toole, Professor Mark Rainforth and Dr John Hutchison as Vice Chairs. The full Scientific Programme Committee is currently being appointed.

Other societies, such as the Institute of Pharmacology, SEB, BSCB, BSDB, SGM and EMAG are being invited to organise sessions at the event.
