bci-conferences.orgAIMS AND SCOPE The main objective of the BCI series of conferences is to provide a forum for discussions and dissemination of research accomplishments and to promote interaction and collaboration among scientists from the Balkan countries and the rest of the world, and to encourage involvement of young researchers from the region. The 5th Balkan Conference in Informatics (BCI) continues the BCI conferences held in Thessaloniki (2009), Sofia (2007), Ohrid (2005), and Thessaloniki (2003). This year (2012) conference will take place at Department of Mathematics and Informatics, Faculty of Sciences, University of Novi Sad. The city of Novi Sad (http://perun.dmi.rs/novisad/

) is the capital of Vojvodina (the northern province of Serbia). It is easily reachable from the region (by car, by bus or by train) and from all over the world (by plain ? the nearest airport is 70 km away). http://bci2012.bci-conferences.org/?venue
The conference will consist of regular sessions with technical contributions (regular papers) reviewed and selected by an international program committee, as well as of invited talks and tutorials presented by leading scientists. Different workshops will be held in line with the main conference.
