The 1st Call for PapersThe 2nd International Workshop on Mobile IPv6 and Network-based Localized Mobility Management (MobiWorld 2010)http://isyou.hosting.paran.com/mobiworld10
Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, January 9-10, 2010(In Conjunction with CCNC 2010)OverviewAs mobile computing is more and more widespread, mobilitysupport for Internet devices becomes very important. Mobile IPv6(MIPv6) is a promising technology that handles the mobilitymanagement and provides the seamless mobile communications. Itis expected that MIPv6, as a standard for mobile communication, will open the Mobile Internet Age. In MIPv6, it has been observedthat mobility for mobile devices can be more efficiently handled ifmobility management is broken down into localized mobilitymanagement and global mobility management. Therefore, hostbasedapproaches such as Fast-Handovers for MIPv6 (FMIPv6) andHierarchical MIPv6 (HMIPv6) have been proposed for localizedmobility management. In addition, Proxy MIPv6 (PMIPv6) has beenpresented for the network-based localized mobility management(NETLMM), which does not require mobile devices to be involved inthe signaling for mobility management. This workshop will focus onthe challenges and solutions for MIPv6 with an emphasis on PMIPv6and NETLMM, which have recently gained considerable attention. The MobiWorld workshop will provide an opportunity foracademic and industry professionals to discuss the latest issues andprogress in the area of MIPv6 and NETLMM. In addition, theworkshop will publish high quality papers which are closely relatedto the various theories and practical applications in MIPv6 andNETLMM. Furthermore, we expect that the workshop and itspublications will be a trigger for further related research andtechnology improvements in this important subject.Topics (included, but are not limited to)ô???
