the 7th Annual IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC 2010) and the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2010)

    Scope and Topics

Video has become part of human life for many years. Thanks to the rapid popularization of the Internet, many emerging Internet video services such as IPTV, Internet TV, Video Sharing, and Video Podcast are being more and more widely accepted by the market. The successful growth of Internet video benefits from the advances of many technologies including networking, media processing, computer-human interaction, knowledge discovery, etc. Along with the exploration on new services and new business models of Internet video, many technical challenges arise, such as high definition video transmission, content and right management, system scalability and reliability, service delivery architecture, operation cost reduction, value-added services over video, etc. The goal of this workshop is to provide a dedicated forum and community for researchers and engineers to share the state-of-the-art innovations and developments on Internet video technologies.

The workshop seeks submissions in the general areas of networking, content management, systems and applications that relate to Internet Video. Topics include, but are not limited to:

    Architecture of Internet video systems

Low-cost transmission of Internet video (P2P live video, P2P VOD, etc.)

Content management in Internet video services

Digital rights management in Internet video services

Interactive and intelligent Internet video services

Personalized video content and advertisement recommendation

Integrated user experience for PC, TV, and handhelds

Incentive models and dynamics in Internet video services

    Deployment of Internet video services

Demonstrations and prototypes of cutting-edge Internet video applications

Performance measurement of Internet video systems

    Innovative Internet video services

    Guidelines for Submission

Authors are invited to submit regular technical papers or position papers. The position papers should present novel technologies at an early stage of development or share future vision. Manuscripts should not exceed five (5) pages in double-column IEEE format. Please visit the CCNC 2010 website, http://www.ieee-ccnc.org/2010/ for the submission instructions. All submissions should describe original, previously unpublished research or engineering work, not currently under review by another conference or journal. Please note that dual submissions to both the main CCNC conference and workshop will not be accepted.
