January 8, 2010Las Vegas, Nevada USAIn conjunction withthe 7th Annual IEEE Consumer Communications & Networking Conference (CCNC 2010) and the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2010)Scope and TopicsVideo has become part of human life for many years. Thanks to the rapid popularization of the Internet, many emerging Internet video services such as IPTV, Internet TV, Video Sharing, and Video Podcast are being more and more widely accepted by the market. The successful growth of Internet video benefits from the advances of many technologies including networking, media processing, computer-human interaction, knowledge discovery, etc. Along with the exploration on new services and new business models of Internet video, many technical challenges arise, such as high definition video transmission, content and right management, system scalability and reliability, service delivery architecture, operation cost reduction, value-added services over video, etc. The goal of this workshop is to provide a dedicated forum and community for researchers and engineers to share the state-of-the-art innovations and developments on Internet video technologies.The workshop seeks submissions in the general areas of networking, content management, systems and applications that relate to Internet Video. Topics include, but are not limited to:Architecture of Internet video systemsLow-cost transmission of Internet video (P2P live video, P2P VOD, etc.)Content management in Internet video servicesDigital rights management in Internet video servicesInteractive and intelligent Internet video servicesPersonalized video content and advertisement recommendationIntegrated user experience for PC, TV, and handheldsIncentive models and dynamics in Internet video servicesDeployment of Internet video servicesDemonstrations and prototypes of cutting-edge Internet video applicationsPerformance measurement of Internet video systemsInnovative Internet video servicesGuidelines for SubmissionAuthors are invited to submit regular technical papers or position papers. The position papers should present novel technologies at an early stage of development or share future vision. Manuscripts should not exceed five (5) pages in double-column IEEE format.
