    Special Issue on Cloud Computing Technology and Applications

    The IEEE Multidisciplinary Engineering Education Magazine (MEEM) announces a forthcoming Special Issue on Cloud Computing Technology and Applications (CCTA) to be published in March 2012.

    In recent years, cloud computing has been more and more popular. Cloud computing is based on an on-demand network access to a shared pool of configurable computing resources and is rapidly provisioned and released. This special issue is intended to foster the dissemination of state-of-the-art research in the area of Cloud Computing Technology and Applications (CCTA) for education and to focus on the technological support of any pedagogical approach. We invite the submissions of high quality papers describing future potentials or on-going work.

    SCOPE

    We solicit papers on various disciplines of cloud computing, but are not limited to:

    ? Cloud Computing in Education

    ? Cloud-based Services and Education

    ? Scalable Scheduling on Heterogeneous Architectures

    ? Cloud Industry Management for Education

    ? Development and Sharing of Open Educational Resources

    ? Cloud Systems and Applications for Education

    ? Software as a Service (SaaS)

    ? Platform as a Service (PaaS)

    ? Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)

    ? Middleware Frameworks

    ? Mobile Cloud for Education

    ? Web Services for Education

    INSTRUCTIONS FOR MANUSCRIPTS

    A manuscript should be prepared according to the IEEE Transactions on Education Guidelines. The preferred length of the manuscript is +5 pages for a full PAPER, +3 pages for a short PAPER and +1 page for a LETTER with the format determined by the MEEM Style File.
