* ICCS 2012* 12th International Conference on Computational Science* "Empowering Science through Computing"* Omaha, Nebraska, USA* June 4-6, 2012**http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2012
*NEW* Accepted workshops: http://www.iccs-meeting.org/iccs2012/workshop-list.php
*NEW* Keynote speakers:? Henry Markram, EPFL? Dirk Helbing, ETH Zürich? Frederica Darema, Air Force Office of Scientific Research? Michael L. Norman, San Diego Supercomputer Center? Philip S. Yu, University of Illinois at ChicagoICCS 2012 is now accepting paper submissions. Authors are invited to submit manuscripts reporting original, unpublished research and recent developments/theoretical considerations in Computational Sciences by January 9, 2012. In principle, all accepted papers will be printed in the conference proceedings published by Elsevier Science in the open-access Procedia Computer Science series (on-line and CD/USB stick). ICCS 2012 will have a poster session for which we will also accept late submissions; however, such late poster papers will not be included in the proceedings. The ICCS conference has been the prime annual event in Computational Science for over 12 years. This interdisciplinary conference on modeling and simulation of real-world phenomena will draw academic and industry leaders from all relevant fields. ICCS intends to provide a forum to disseminate world leading research in the field of (scientific) Computational Science and in particular to highlight the role which modeling and simulation plays in futurescientific discovery. The focus of ICCS has always been to enable scientists through the development of computational techniques and technologies. ICCS 2012 invites original contributions on all topics related to Computational Science, including, but not limited to:Scientific ComputingProblem Solving EnvironmentsAdvanced Numerical AlgorithmsComplex Systems: Modeling and SimulationHybrid Computational MethodsWeb- and Grid-based Simulation and ComputingParallel and Distributed ComputingAdvanced Computing Architectures and New Programming ModelsVisualization and Virtual Reality as Applied to Computational ScienceApplications of Computation as a Scientific ParadigmNew Algorithmic Approaches to Computational Kernels and ApplicationsComputational HumanitiesEducation in Computational ScienceLarge Scale Scientific InstrumentsComputational SociologyThe submitted paper must be camera-ready and formatted according to the rules of Procedia Computer Science. Please use this file for a Latex template plus instructions and click here for an MS word template file). Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the authors to register and present the paper. PostScript and source versions of your paper must be submitted electronically through the paper submission system. Please, note that papers must not exceed ten pages in length, when typeset using the Procedia format.Dates of deadlines for draft paper submission (full paper), notification of acceptance, deadline for camera-ready paper submission and registration may be found in the Important Dates section of this Web site.Papers must be based on unpublished, mature and original work and must be submitted to ICCS only. After the conference, selected papers may be invited for a special issue of the Journal of Computational ScienceICCS is an ERA 2010 A-ranked conference series. For further details please visit:http://www.iccs-meeting.org/
