    Call For Papers - CFP

32nd International Workshop on Physics of High Energy Density in Matter

    January 29th - February 3rd, 2012

    Waldemar-Petersen-Haus, Hirschegg

    Austria

We encourage contributions on recent achievements in the following subjects:

? Accelerator issues of intense beams

? Properties of high energy density matter created by intense ion beams and lasers

(EOS, phase transitions in dense plasmas, transport, and relaxation)

? Beam-plasma interactions (ion beams, pulsed power, lasers)

? Ultrahigh field phenomena in the combination of laser and heavy-ion beams

? Diagnostic methods for high energy density matter

? Particle acceleration and generation of intense beams

? Inertial fusion including fast ignition (NIF, HiPER, heavy ion fusion)

    ? Hydrodynamic simulations and instabilities

As a tradition there will be no proceedings. We encourage, however, to publish new results,

that have been presented at the workshop, in the journal Laser and Particle Beams.

Moreover HEDgeHOB collaboration will continue the tradition of an annual meeting to report

on the achievements of our community in High Energy Density Physics.

Students are encouraged to compete for the 2012 Hirschegg Poster Award.
