Language Education ConferenceLearning and Teaching Languages in the North-East Asian Regional Context Sharing and ApplyingMay 29, 2010 Niigata, JapanCall for Papers The 2nd Annual North East Asian Region (N.E.A.R.) Language Education Conference will be held on Saturday, May 29 on the campus of the University of Niigata Prefecture in Niigata Japan. This unique conference brings together language teachers and researchers working in the languages of the North East Asia Region (Chinese, English, Korean, Japanese and Russian). The theme of this year's conference is Sharing and Applying. The conference will bring together teachers and researchers working in diverse contexts to share principles and ideas that can be applied in any language classroom. Proposals (in English or Japanese) are invited for presentations and poster sessions in the areas of: applied research curriculum design / materials development teaching practice / pedagogy assessment and evaluationPapers which balance theoretical frameworks with practical applicability are preferred. Presentation length: 45 minutes (including Q&A).Submission deadline: February 1st, 2010. Submission Procedure: Applications submitted online.
