    Advances in Multimedia e-Learning Technologies

    Special Issue of World Wide Web Journal

    Our Aims

    Multimedia technologies and networking infrastructure have changed

    human social behavior. One typical example is education. Fueled by the

    popularity of the Web Wide Web, the impact of e-learning to

    traditional universities drives education professionals to rethink

    about how to efficiently and effectively apply multimedia technologies

    to improve learning as well as self-learning. Although multimedia

    technologies have already been used widely in e-learning, various

    considerations and limitations should be carefully addressed from both

    pedagogical and technological perspectives, to ensure the successful

    incorporation of these technologies in e-learning.

    Interested Topics

    This special issue aims at collecting papers that are related to the

    theme of multimedia technologies for e-learning. Papers that are

    relevant, but are not limited, to the following topics will be

    considered for this special issue:

    Management of Multimedia Learning Objects

    Multimedia Edutainment Technologies

    Multimedia Technologies for Collaborative Learning

    Multimedia Technologies for Mobile/Situated Learning

    Multimodal Interactions for e-Learning

    Game-based Learning

    Real-Time Delivery of Multimedia Instructions

    Retrieval of Multimedia Learning Objects

    Server and System Architecture for Multimedia Instructions

    Submission Guidelines

    Each paper for submission should be formatted in single spacing,

    single column of no more than 5000 words in length. The main text

    should be in Times Roman 10-point. Author instructions can be found at

    the Journal Web Site. Prospective authors should submit their papers
