First Workshop on Creativity and Innovation in Information Systems and Engineering (CRIISE2012)

    Context:

Innovation and the effective use of information technology are recognized as important factors for competitiveness and business agility. Therefore, it is relevant to clarify the relationship between business, innovation and Information Systems.

The chance of using known creative processes, or adaptations of them, to aid the ideas production, help produce new combinations, get unexpected, original, useful and satisfying responses, addressed to a particular context, and thus lead to innovation in information systems and the way how they are used, is challenging.

The applicable scenarios of this approach are practically inexhaustible: can be useful in software engineering, helping to create innovative applications and competitive advantages, such as the creation of net IT interfaces, or even the in personal lives of all who want to innovate, whether in science or art.

CRIISE2012 workshop provides a space for debate on the role of creativity in information systems. The workshop aims to bring together researchers, academics, industry experts, software professionals and students interested in the advances in the field of creativity and information systems. Participants will have the opportunity to present and observe the latest research results and ideas in this area.

This workshop aims to cover aspects of the introduction and use of creative processes in information systems as well as issues related to creativity, as exemplified by the fundamentals, creative techniques and creative methods.

The main CRIISE2012 objective is to provide to the academic and business people, a privileged forum where practitioners, researchers, teachers and university students to discuss key issues related to creativity in different areas of information systems design, development and operation.

CRIISE2012 accepts introductory and advanced proposals in Creativity in Information Systems area.

All submitted papers will be reviewed by, at least, two Program Committee members.
