Special Issue on Real Life Applications of FuzzyLogic, Advances in Fuzzy SystemsWeb site: http://www.hindawi.com/journals/afs/si/537295/cfp/
The notion of fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic was introduced by Lotfi A.Zadeh in 1965 through his first paper in the field. Over theseforty-six years, interest in the field has grown exponentially bringingsome new theoretical advances and many practical applications of thefuzzy mathematical tools. The objective of this special issue is to explore the advances of fuzzylogic in a large number of real life and commercial products in avariety of fields. Although fuzzy logic has applications in a number ofdifferent areas, it is not yet known to the nonfuzzy people how it canbe applied in different products which are available in the market. Berkeley Institute of Soft Computing (BISC) is compiling all theapplications of the fuzzy logic. It is important that nonfuzzy peopleknow where fuzzy logic can be used. For nonfuzzy people, the word“fuzzy” is still fuzzy. We invite authors to submit original research articles as well as reviewarticles that give insight in the applications where fuzzy logic can beused. It is known that fuzzy logic is used in automobiles, but it isvery much less known how, where, and in what automobile function fuzzylogic is being used. This issue will give emphasis on the advances thatcan be made in different areas to emphasize how fuzzy logic is used in aparticular application. The issue is expected to include applicationsfrom simple products like cameras, air conditioners, and microwave ovensto sophisticated applications like Saturn, Nissan, helicopters, bullettrains, and health monitors; the emphasis will be on which camera, whichbullet train, which helicopter, and so forth. Potential topics include, but are not limited to, the following:-- Applications of fuzzy logic in automobiles-- Applications of fuzzy logic in defense and security-- Applications of fuzzy logic in medicine and biomedical fields-- Applications of fuzzy logic in Internet and computer security-- Applications of fuzzy logic in consumer electronics-- Applications of fuzzy logic in decision making (law, business, etc.)Before submission, authors should carefully read over the journal'sAuthor Guidelines, which are located athttp://www.hindawi.com/journals/afs/guidelines/
. Prospective authorsshould submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript throughthe journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/
