Computer Science Education Research Conference (CSERC'2012)Wrocław, Poland, September 9-12, 2012Computer Science Education Research Conference (CSERC'2012) aims at creating a platform for researchers in the field of computer science education. Over the years it has become clear that there is a need for more fundamental knowledge about and input into computer science education. To contribute to this, last year CSERC'2011 has been organized in Heerlen, Netherlands, annex to a Dutch Conference for Computer Science Teachers, NIOC'11. CSERC'2012 is intended to be, like CSERC, in cooperation with ACM's Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE, pending approval). Because of the truly international mission of CSERC we aim at locating this conference in different counties, and FedCSIS 2012 obviously is an excellent opportunity.TopicsThemes of CSERC are:designing a Computer Science curriculumdidactics and teaching methods for Computer Science subjectsdevelopment of professional competencies in Computer Sciencetools and instruments supporting Computer Science Educationfield studies in Computer Science Educationcultural and regional differences in Computer Science Educationconvergence and divergence in Computer Science bachelor and master Educationvocational and professional Computer Science EducationPaper Submission and PublicationPapers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the workshop.Accepted and Presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings and included in the IEEE Xplore® database. They will be also submitted for indexation in: DBLP Computer Science Bibliography, Google Scholar, Inspec, Scirus, SciVerse Scopus and Thomson Reuters - Conference Proceedings Citation IndexAuthors should submit draft papers (as Postscript, PDF of MSWord file)The total length of a paper should not exceed 8 pages (IEEE style).
