Call For Papers - CFP
CALL FOR PAPERSThe 33rd Annual International Computer Software and Applications ConferenceCOMPSAC 2009 http://www.compsac.org Seattle, USA, July 20 - 24, 2009 Sponsored by the IEEE Computer Society COMPSAC, first held in Chicago in 1997, is one of the major international forumsfor academia, industry, and government to discuss research results, advances andfuture trends in computer and software technologies and applications. Thetechnical program includes keynote addresses, research papers, industrial casestudies, panel discussions and fast abstracts. It also includes a number ofworkshops on emerging important topics. The creation of trustworthy, dependable and distributed computer servicessatisfying the needs of today's pervasive and ubiquitous computing environmentsspans all aspects of software systems engineering. COMPSAC is a unique forumbringing together these facets and their major stakeholders. It gives researchand practitioners a unique opportunity to share their perspective with othersinterested in the various aspects of computer systems and applications. Buildingon the trustworthy, secure, and dependable distributed software themes of highlysuccessful recent COMPSAC conferences, the technical theme for the 33rdconference isHARMONIZING HUMANS, COMPUTERS AND SOFTWARE IN SERVICE ENVIRONMENTThe program of COMPSAC 2009 will continue to feature research and industrialpractice papers with a wide range of topics, focusing (but not exclusively) onsoftware and middleware development for distributed platforms, social andcollaborative networks, services computing, cloud computing, data center designand applications, communication applications, mobile and embedded systems. Toproperly engineer such domains, the foundations, methodologies, and mechanismsthat support the design, modelling, and evaluation of software systems andcomputer applications must come from diverse sources. Topics of interest includebut are not limited to requirement analysis, co-analysis/co-design, modelling, development, testing, measurement, verification, validation, performance, autonomy, safety, security, and dependability constraints. Effectiveconstruction of these systems is not limited solely to the field of computerscience and engineering and comes as a synergetic effort, between variousdomains of research. Multidisciplinary work, research and development ofsoftware prototypes, industry-university collaborations, all based on newemerging and critical technologies will be of particular interest to thisconference. All accepted papers will be published in the electronic proceedingsby the IEEE Computer Society, indexed through INSPEC and EI Index, and automaticinclusion in the IEEE digital library.Authors are invited to submit original, unpublished research papers as well asindustrial practice papers. Simultaneous submissions to other publication venuesare not permitted. Detailed instructions for electronic paper submission, paneland workshop proposals, fast abstracts, doctoral symposium and review processcan be found at http://www.compsac.org/. The length of the camera-ready of anaccepted paper will be limited to 8 (IEEE Proceedings style) pages, and printedon 10-12 point fonts.
