    Call For Papers - CFP

The analyses and visualization of spatial/geographic data profoundly affects our lives. From the dynamic television weather map to national census, property/tax maps, and navigational maps (both static as well as the increasingly common in-car navigation systems), people either use or are impacted by spatial data and the visualization methods utilized in their analyses and product development. This symposium will address issues, methods, research, as well as current technologies in the area of spatial data visualization. The arena of spatial data visualization includes, but isn’t limited to static and dynamic maps, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), GPS, and Remote Sensing. Specific topics that may be addressed follow:

Spatial data mining and knowledge discovery

Interactive, multimedia, and animated maps ? methods and design issues

Raster vs. vector based visualization methods

    GIS and Remote Sensing interface

    Environmental perception and learning

    Spatial data quality?assessment and impact

    Spatial data and environmental modeling

    Environmental 3-D rendering

    3-D GIS Environments

    Virtual Environments
