Call For Papers - CFP
Embedded system design as a discipline has long been pursued in various industrial application domains including avionics, aerospace, automobile, consumer electronics and industrial control. Within the Asia-Pacific region, the embedded system industry has exhibited year-on-year growth, to the point where it has become an important contributor to many regional economies. This has resulted in a growing need for highly-trained and skilled manpower to meet the insatiable demands of industry, leading to an emphasis on embedded systems in many Asia-Pacific universities. In addition, several Asia-Pacific nations, so long lagging behind Europe and the Americas, have emerged in recent years as major powerhouses of embedded systems R&D, both in industry and in academia. This backdrop led to the creation, in 2007, of a regional conference dedicated to embedded systems: APESER. In our third annual meeting we now aim to gather the embedded systems community together to discuss issues and challenges in this field. Topics discussed in the conference include, but are not limited to, the following:EducationResearchApplicationsLab design & trainingCurriculum designCourseware & platformsStudent promotionTeaching methodsTeaching projectsCollaborative groupwareHands-on approachesEmbedded hardwareEmbedded LinuxEmbedded softwareLow-power systemsSystems-on-a-chipCustom designsReconfigurable devicesEmbedding applicationsReal-time systemsSystem developmentEmbedded toolsAvionic systemsAutomotive systemsMedical systemsConsumer electronicsPAPER SUBMISSIONPapers presenting original and unpublished work are invited for submission, and will be peer reviewed based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity. The organisers intend that all presented papers will be indexed by IET Electronic Library and available in IEEE Xplore. Submitted papers should be formatted in a two-column IEEE Computer Society format not exceeding 6 pages.Submission format: PDFMaximum number of page: 6
