Cognitive-based Text Understanding and Web Wisdom

Special Issue of International Journal of Cognitive Informatics and Natural Intelligence (IJCINI)

Aims:

Recent years, many new theories and technologies for Web Wisdom have made the Web much wiser. Among these technologies, Cognitive-based text understanding (CTU) is one of the newest directions of Web Wisdom and should be paid more attention to. The machine understanding of Web resources is the basis of Web Wisdom. Cognitive Informatics (CI) is an emerging discipline that studies the natural intelligence, internal information processing mechanisms of the brain and the processes involved in perception and cognition as well. CTU simulates the cognitive process of human brain understanding text, so it takes advantage of cognitive theories to make the machine understanding of Web resources effectively and promotes Web Wisdom to a great extent. In this special issue, we call for original papers related to cognitive-based text understanding and web wisdom.

* Data Link and Semantic Link for Web Wisdom;

* Web Mining and Information Retrieval for Web Wisdom;

* Web Knowledge Organization and Fusion for Web Wisdom;

* Web-based Cooperation Model for Web Wisdom.

Submission

Each paper for submission should be formatted in double spacing, single column of no more than 20 pages in length. A separate cover letter should be submitted that includes the paper title, the list of all authors and their affiliations, and information of the contact author. Each paper will be reviewed rigorously, and possibly in two rounds, i.e., minor/major revisions will undergo another round of review. Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in PDF format via email to Prof. Xiangfeng Luo at luoxfshu.edu.cn.
