Participants are invited to submit abstracts of their contributions via e-mail to IHC
sjtu.edu.cn or submitted by http://www.10ihc.org
as an attached file. The deadline for submission is January 31, 2010. Only MS WORD files are acceptable.
The conference will mainly focus on the following scopes:
Chemical, biochemical and physicochemical characterisation of hydrocolloids
Aggregation and self-assembly, carrier structures, controlled and responsive release in hydrocolloids
Rheology of gels, solutions, emulsions/dispersions and processing relevant to hydrocolloids
Natural and biodegradable materials and recycling
Novel hydrocolloids: microstructure and applications
Hydrocolloids in nanoscience and nanotechnology
Progress in starches and applications
Hydrocolloid safety and hydrocolloids as functional ingredients in food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetic, personal care industries
Hydrocolloids as dietary fibre and prebiotics: from structural functionality to nutrition and health
Industry and enterpriser forum
Authors of submitted abstracts will be contacted by the organising committee by early 2010 regarding the status of acceptance. Authors of accepted papers / posters will be invited to prepare full manuscripts to be reviewed and considered for publication in a special issue of Food Hydrocolloids (http://www.ees.elsevier.com/foodhyd/
).
