Call For Papers - CFP
LCTES 2010ACM SIGPLAN/SIGBED Conference on Languages, Compilers and Tools for Embedded SystemsStockholm, SwedenApril 12-16, 2010in conjunction with CPSWeek 2010As embedded and cyber physical systems increase in number, complexity, and diversity, new research challenges are encountered in areas such as verification, validation, meeting performance goals and resource constraints, creating and exploiting new hardware architectures, and scaling up to multicores and distributed systems built from multicores. LCTES 2010 solicits papers presenting original work on programming languages, compilers, tools, and architectures that help meet these challenges. Research papers (which propose innovative techniques) and experience papers (which report experimentation with and lessons learned from real-world systems and applications) are both welcome.Papers are solicited on, but not limited to, the following topics in embedded and cyber physical systems:Programming language issues, including:Features to exploit multi-core, reconfigurable and other emerging architecturesFeatures for distributed, adaptive and real-time control in cyber physical systemsLanguage capabilities for specification, composition and construction of cyber physical systemsLanguage features and techniques to enhance reliability, verifiability, and securityVirtual machines, concurrency, inter-processor synchronization, memory managementCompiler issues, including:Interaction between embedded/cyber physical architectures, operating systems and compilersInterpreters, binary translation and just-in-time compilationSupport for enhanced debugging, profiling, exception/interrupt handlingOptimization for low power/energy, code and data size, and high performance (inc. real-time)Tools for analysis, specification, design, and implementation, including:Hardware, system software, and application software, and their interfacesDistributed real-time control, media players, reconfigurable architecturesValidation and verification, system integration and testingPerformance monitoring and tuningRuntime system support for embedded and cyber physical systemsNovel embedded and cyber physical architectures, including:Design and implementation of novel architecturesWorkload analysis and performance evaluationArchitecture support for new language features, compiler techniques and debugging tools
