    TELECOMMUNICATIONS: ENABLING A KNOWLEDGE-BASED ECONOMY

    The International Conference on Telecommunications 2010 (ICT2010) will be held in Doha, the capital of Qatar, under the patronage of HH the Heir Apparent, Sh. Tamim Ben Hamad Al-Thani. The conference dates are

    4-7 April 2010, and the paper submission deadline is November 30, 2009.

    The "Optical Communications and Devices Track" has extended submission deadline for full paper submissions to "December 7th, 2009".

    Submission Process: Participants should submit a research paper (up to 8 pages using 10-point type), including figures and references. Full paper submissions must be received by November 30, 2009, and must be in Adobe Acrobat PDF. Papers must be submitted online (http://edas.info/N7505) or via the ICT2010 website (www.ict2010.org). The proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore.

    Tutorials: In addition to its high quality technical programme, ICT 2010 will host several tutorials on different topics from communications and networking. The tutorials are half-day and will take place on Sunday, 4 April 2010.

    ICT2010 Technical Committee invites submission of tutorial proposals for half-day presentations on topics of interest of the conference. We invite prospective instructors to submit their proposals which includes the following information to Khalid Qaraqe qatar.tamu.edu> (under the heading of ICT 2010

    Tutorials) by November 30, 2009.

    The following information must be included in all proposals: Title; Full name, title, affiliation and contact information of the instructor(s); Motivation and Objective Scope; Abstract; Detailed outline of topics covered; Biographical sketch of all instructor(s); History of the tutorial presentation
