    WHY?

Schools are increasingly being held accountable for student performance. Given this additional

attention to student outcomes, expectations are growing that schools will respond with flexibility

and individualized instruction. To be successful, schools need to learn how to use data effectively

for school and students’ outcomes improvement.

Effective use of data can provide school leaders with valuable insights for making strategic decisions

about school performance that ultimately result in improved student outcomes. We introduce

an outcome oriented approach that uses data-driven decision making based on external

exams’ data, educational value added data, internal and external evaluation data, as well as any

other data that help to effectively diagnose supportive and restraining factors of students’ progress.

The training program has been prepared in cooperation with evaluation experts, school heads,

external examination boards, and organizations that support schools in data-based problem solving.

    WHO FOR?

The course will be conducted by a team of international trainers / coaches in order to reflect

the international character of the topic, solutions offered, and the needs of the participants.

    WHAT?

The structure of the program results

from the data inquiry model. It is based

    on asking questions that lead

    participants subsequently through

all key stages of the problem solving

    process: Preparation, Discovery,

    Diagnosis, Doing and Evaluation.

    The program helps schools define

    strengths and weaknesses, discover

problem areas, diagnose barriers to improvement, define an action plan to implement effective solutions,

and, in the end, evaluate the undertaken actions. These phases are designed to be conducted by school

teams and can be used multiple times throughout the year to address various improvement areas.

In addition to guiding the participants through a structured professional development process, the course

also helps them develop the technical, analytical, and collaborative skills necessary to implement the inquiry

model in their schools and classrooms.

    HOW?

During the course the trainers will use various methods of interactive delivery. There will be individual

and group work, case studies, lectures and visits to local schools. The variety of activities has been designed
