Call For Papers - CFP
On behalf of the Scientific and Organizing Committees it is our great pleasure to invite you, together with accompanying persons, to attend the 2010 International Conference on international conference on system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization (1st ICSEM 2010), August 13 - 15, 2010, Changchun (China). The 2010 international conference on system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization provides three day’s focus on the system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization technology that are the basis for the information and manufacture. The theme of the plenary session is “system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization” featuring invited speakers who will further explore this topic that is so significant in these fields. Concurrent sessions and a poster session will cover a wide range of topics and issues, including both contributed papers and special sessions developed on specific themes, all with a central focus of system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization. Topics will range from the theories to the practice methods and technology, such as complex system modeling and complexity, control theory, Industrial design, cybernetics, Modeling and simulation methods, e-commerce and computer-aided Manufacturing etc. This conference provides an idea-exchange and discussion platform for the world’enterprises and academia, where internationally recognized researches and practitioners share cutting-edge information, address the hottest issue in system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization, explore new technologies, exchange and build upon ideas. We do believe that there is still a need for a specialized international meeting in the field ofsystem science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization, and the 1st ICSEM is just the adequate forum for it. We expect that also this Conference will bring together many specialists of system science, engineering design and manufacturing informatization from international scientific and engineering community. Please join us at the Conference, meet many specialists in the field, and enjoy the beauty of autumn at the north of China. We look forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. Paper Submission:Online Paper submission systemImportant Dates:Full paper submission: April 10 2010 Decision notification: April 30, 2010Camera-ready papers: May 20, 2010 Registration May 20, 2010Conference: August 13-15, 2010We solicit research papers and case studies on any theme related to design thinking, theory, and practice. We place a premium on evidence-based research. Mindful of earlier conferences in the series we offer the following themes of interest and invite authors to take a specific point-of-view. We anticipate that issues at the intersections will be of particular relevance and interest.+Points-of-ViewICSEM 2010 is centered around offering a multitude of differing perspectives on system science , engineering design and manufacturing informatization. You are encouraged to submit papers written from one of the points-of-view provided, or alternatively you may design your own specific point-of-view.+ThemesPapers submitted to the conference are expected to address one of the themes listed below. To help us choose the appropriate reviewers for your paper, you will be required to indicate which themes your paper covers. Papers should be maximum 4 pages in length (extra pages must pay extra fees and not be exceed 6 pages in total) and those that are accepted in a double-blind review will be published in the proceedings. At the conference, authors of all accepted papers are given the opportunity to present.+SYSTEM SCIENCEComplex system modeling and complexity Consensus methods and technologies Creation of agent-based social systems sciences Decision support systems Knowledge creation: creativity support, awareness support, etc. Knowledge discovery: data mining, text mining, and Web intelligence tools Knowledge systems engineering Meta-synthesis and advanced modeling to practical complex issues Social network analysis and knowledge management Systems methodologies+CYBERNETICSBiocybernetics Engineering cybernetics Management cybernetics Medical cybernetics New Cybernetics Second-order cybernetics Systems engineering Biological systems engineering Earth systems engineering and management Enterprise systems engineering Systems analysis+CONTROL THEORYAffect control theory Control engineering Control systems Dynamical systems Perceptual control theory+ENGINEERING DESIGNDesign ProcessesProduct development models and strategiesDesign process modeling and managementProduct innovation engineeringIndustrial designDesign Theory and Research MethodologyOrganizational understanding of product developmentMarket and business implications Researching of designs and design methodsDesign theories and approaches Product and Systems DesignHuman Behavior in DesignDesign Information and KnowledgeDesign tactics and methodsRequirement management, user orientation, user integrationEvaluation and decisionModeling and simulation methodsUsage and integration of supportive technologies+MANUFACTURING INFORMATIZATIONAgile Manufacturing Information SystemAdvanced Manufacturing InformationManufacturing Information Management SystemManufacturing Information and Data Systems Information system for lifecycle managementComputer-aided ManufacturingIntegrated Computer-Aided Manufacturing Flexible Manufacturing SystemManufacturing Process ManagementRapid prototyping and Rapid manufacturingE-commerce
