International Symposium on Reliability Engineering and Risk Management (ISRERM2010)Co-organized by Tongji University and Kanagawa UniversitySponsored by the International Association for Structural Safety and Reliability (IASSAR) Sept. 23-26, 2010, Shanghai, China Reliability engineering and risk management have been attracting increasing attention and is of growing importance in civil, mechanical, aerospace and aeronautics, offshore and marine engineering, as well as in many other disciplines of engineering. With this background, the aim of the International Symposium on Reliability Engineering and Risk Management to be held in September of 2010 at Tongji University in Shanghai China (ISRERM2010) is to bring engineers and scientists all over the world together to present and discuss innovative methodologies and the practical applications of these technologies in the field of reliability engineering and risk management. Emerging concepts as well as state of the art and novel applications of reliability principles and risk based decision making in all types of structures, infrastructures and mechanical systems will be emphasized within the scope of the symposium.
