Overview : "Creating Quality Presentations" is about learning how to make presentations that bring out the best in you, and at the same time create a memorable experience for your audience. You will be given exercises and practices that will help you improve your speaking skills, and receive tips and guidelines that will support your role as a speaker. For instance, you will receive answers to the following questions: How does one prepare? How do I organize my material? How do I create a good rapport with my audience? What's most important to focus on while making a presentation? What do I do when I get nervous while speaking? What do I do if my audience doesn't appear to like what I'm saying? What do I do if they aren't paying attention to my presentation? This webinar focuses on the idea that "Creating Quality Presentations" is a practice; it's something, regardless of how long we have been making presentations, we can get better at. In a sense, we are always "beginners" at whatever level of mastery we have achieved. This perspective, in and of itself, can have a positive influence upon our audience. Why? Because when we enter a room with this beginner's attitude, we don't come off as a "know-it-all," even though we may be well versed in our subject. We are right there with our audience, as a fellow participant one might say, eager to learn. Why you should attend: As a former professional actor, I am aware that making a business presentation has very little to do with performing. As I see it, having taught presentation classes for over 30 years, a quality presentation is more about being with people in a welcoming way and initiating a mutually beneficial conversation with them. You may be the one who is doing most of the talking, but still there is a dialog taking place between you and each member of the audience. Areas Covered in the Session:Focus on what is most important while making a presentationPrepare and organize a presentationApproach making presentations from a "beginner's" perspectiveIdentify the needs of the audience, whether it be one on one with a client or co-workers or a presentation to a groupPrepare yourself to make a presentationBe more in tune with yourself, your audience, and your materialEstablish a positive relationship between yourself and each member of the audienceBe more centered and aware while giving a presentationWho Will Benefit:ExecutivesManagersTechnical StaffSales StaffHR GeneralistsHR ManagersPlant ManagersManagementBusiness OwnersRobert Elliott has worked with individuals and groups throughout North America, Asia, Micronesia and Europe as a speaker, corporate educator and leadership coach.
