Numerous research groups in academia, industry, andgovernment are currently engaged in cluster research, seeking new waysto advance the state of the art of cluster communication. The goal ofthe CAC workshop is to bring together researchers and practitionersworking in the areas of communication hardware and software to discusstheir latest findings as well as future trends in the design ofscalable, high-performance, and cost-effective communicationarchitectures for clusters.Topics of InterestTopics of interest for the workshop include but are not limited to thefollowing:* low-level communication protocols (e.g., VAPI, Tports, GM, and IP)and higher-level communication layers (e.g., MPI, sockets, put/get,and distributed shared memory)* communication and architectural issues related to router/switchorganization, flow control, congestion control, routing and deadlockhandling, load balancing, reliability, QoS support, topologydiscovery, dynamic reconfiguration, and clustered storage andfileservers* novel network-interface and switch architectures for supportingefficient point-to-point and collective communication* performance measurements, analysis, and early-user experiencereports of pre-release and recently released network interfaces, network protocols/emerging standards, and routers/switchesResults of both theoretical and practical significance will beconsidered. Note, however, that papers on topics that are too farremoved from cluster communication (e.g., mobile networks, intrusiondetection, peer-to-peer networks) will be rejected without review.ProceedingsThe proceedings of this workshop will be published together with theproceedings of other IPDPS 2010 workshops by the IEEE Computer SocietyPress.Paper SubmissionsSubmitted manuscripts may not exceed eight single-spaced pages using a12-point font on 8.5x11-inch pages, everything included (figures, tables, references, etc.). Manuscripts must be submitted electronicallyand in either PostScript or PDF format. Submissions will be judged oncorrectness, originality, technical strength, significance, quality ofpresentation, and interest and relevance to the workshop attendees.Submitted papers may not have appeared in or be under consideration foranother workshop, conference, or journal.CAC manuscript submissions are being handled by EDAS. To submit apaper, go to https://edas.info/N8343
