Based on an overwhelming desire from participants in last year’s event, this second annual workshop will expand to include two tracks ? one focused on SDR technologies and the other focused on Cognitive Radio and Dynamic Spectrum Access technologies. The SDR Forum invites you to submit a presentation proposal for either of these tracks on topic areas that include:Software Defined Radio Technologies, including:RF Technology and DevicesBaseband Signal Processing Technology and DevicesFrameworks and MiddlewareSoftware DesignSoftware Communications Architecture (SCA)Firmware and other IPAdvanced Signal processingWaveformsMultimode Terminal and Infrastructure DesignStandards for Reconfigurable Radio and Supporting ComponentsCertification, Validation, Testing and ToolsRegulatory Considerations and Spectrum PolicyCognitive Radio Technologies, including:Cognitive enginesPolicy Ontology and LanguageSensing and AwarenessSpectrum EtiquettesCoexistenceSpectrum and Resource ManagementWhite SpaceSDR and CR Market Applications and Business ModelsCommercial WirelessDefensePublic SafetySatellite CommunicationsAutomotiveEmerging MarketsEducation in SDR and CRPresentations will be 30 minutes in duration, including questions. Although this is a presentation only workshop, papers supporting the presentation are strongly encouraged. A workshop CD acting as the conference proceedings will be supplied to attendees containing all workshop presentations and associated papers.Proposals for presentations from national research and development programs across Europe are especially welcome. Program presentations could be as single overview presentations or complete sessions with a program overview followed by 2 or 3 technical presentations.Submissions for the European Reconfigurable Radio Technologies workshop are being processed by EDAS Conference Management System. If you have previously submitted a paper or abstract for other professional conferences, you probably already have an account on EDAS. If you do not have an account, create one at http://edas info/ using your email address and a password. Then, go to http://edas.info/8201
click the “Submit Paper” tab and submit your abstract or proposal -- be sure to select up to three “Topics” that would be appropriate for your submission. An acknowledgment of your submission will be sent from EDAS, and a notice regarding acceptance of your submission will be sent based on the schedule above.If your proposal is accepted, you will have the prestige of being chosen to present at this second annual event, and will receive a discount on the workshop fee, allowing you to fully participate in the workshop and network with partners, customers, and competitors.Proposals are due no later than 19 December 2009; Notifications of acceptance will be made by 29 January 2010.Presentations and associated papers are due for inclusion on the conference CD by 7 May 2009.Keynote AnnouncementThe SDR Forum is pleased to announce that the following keynote invitations have been tentatively accepted for this event:Tero Solante, Principle SDR Officer, European Defence AgencyDr. Donald Steinbrecher, Chief Scientist, Navy Undersea Warfare CenterPeter Olanders, Director at Ericsson and Chair of the ETSI Technical Committee on Reconfigurable Radio SystemsOther keynotes will be announced ? please check back for up to date informationBecome an ExhibitorIn addition to the main conference program, The SDR Forum will host a product and technology exhibition during an extended networking lunch on Thursday afternoon and during a reception on Thursday evening. This exhibition provides an outstanding opportunity to reach representatives at all levels of the wireless value chain. The ability for exhibitors to reach SDR Forum members, visitors and conference attendees is enhanced through inclusion on the workshop web site. A direct link will be established through the conference site to promote workshop exhibitors. This link will remain activefor at least two months following the event.Attendees will also receive information on all participating exhibitors through the workshop program.
