In conjunction withThe 8th International Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Conference(IWCMC 2012)July 2 - July 6, 2012Madrid, SpainPaper deadline: February 19, 2012Notification: March 19, 2012Final submission: April 11, 2012SCOPE AND OBJECTIVESToday, the integration of many cores is common - and the end of theroad is not in sight. These many-core architectures bring upunprecedented capabilities, opportunities, as well as challenges. Themore transistors are integrated on a chip and the more cores areintroduced, the more faults can be asserted. These faults ariseeither during fabrication or operation. As the fabrication costs arecontinuously rising, it is most important to increase the output of afab by software, architectural, or physical means. This workshopaddresses issues and solutions through dependable soft- or hardwaredesign of many-core systems. The Workshop topics include (but are not limited to) the following:* Dependable Many-Core Architectures* Power-Aware Many-Core Design* Dependable & Secure Many-Core Designs* Many-Core Development and Design Tools* Simulation Techniques* System-Level Many-Core Implementation* Many-Core Interconnect Technology* Many-Core System-On-Chip Development* Reconfigurable Computing and FPGAs* Design for Testing* Hardware and Software Debug Facilities* Many-Core Programming and Optimization* Application Partitioning and Load Balancing* Hypervisors and Virtual Machine Technology* Trusted and Untrusted Environments* Virtualization for Dependability* Dependability through Multi-Threading* Fault Detection on the Physical Layer * Fault-Tolerant Software Design* Fault-Tolerant Hardware Design* Fault-Tolerant HW/SW Co-Design PAPER SUBMISSIONSSubmitted papers must not have been published or simultaneouslysubmitted elsewhere. Submission should include a cover page withauthors' names, affiliation addresses, fax numbers, phone numbers, andauthors email addresses. Please, indicate clearly the correspondingauthor and include up to 6 keywords from the above list of topics andan abstract of no more than 450 words. The full manuscript should beat most 7 pages using the two-column IEEE format. Additional pageswill be charged additional fee. Please include page numbers on allpreliminary submissions to make it easier for reviewers to providehelpful comments. Paper submission is handled through the Easychairconference system at:https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=dmcc2012
Only PDF files will be accepted. Each paper will receive a minimum ofthree reviews. Papers will be selected based on their originality, relevance, technical clarity and presentation. Authors of acceptedpapers must guarantee that their papers will be registered andpresented at the workshop. Accepted papers will be published in theconference proceedings which will be made available at the time of themeeting. If you have any questions about paper submission or the workshop, please contact the organizers.IMPORTANT DATESPaper Submissions: February 19, 2012Acceptance Notification: March 19, 2012Camera Ready Papers and Registration Due: April 11, 2012WORKSHOP ORGANIZERSBernhard FechnerUniversit舩 AugsburgUniversit舩sstra゚e 6a86159 Augsburg, GermanyPhone: +49 821 598 2353Fax: +49 821 598 2359Email: bernhard.fechner
