    Call For Papers - CFP

ONDM 2010 - 14th Conference on Optical Network Design and Modeling -
    February 1-3, 2010 Kyoto, JAPAN
    [pdf]
The 14th International Conference on Optical Networking Design and Modeling - ONDM 2010 - aims at providing a forum for researchers from both academia and industry to present recent high-quality research results on optical network architectures, design, operation, management and planning. ONDM also encourages submissions of research papers which relate the topics of optical networking to other areas and disciplines, such as the integration of optical and wireless networks or the role of optical network for the future Internet design.
Topics include but are not limited to:
    ? New optical network architectures
    ? Optical network performance modeling
? Optical network control and management
? Novel architectures for optical routers and switches
? Measurement, monitoring and supervision techniques
? Optical access networks designs and protocols
? High speed optical LANs and gigabit Ethernet
? Optical networks for future Internet design
? Security and privacy in optical networks
? Energy efficiency in optical networks
? Inter-working between optical and wireless networks
? Optical Grids, optical networkings for cloud computing
? Optical integrated circuits and novel transmission methods
? Economic, regulations and migration studies
? Field trials, new applications and experiments
All papers accepted will be included in IEEE Xplore (under negotiation). Best Paper Award will be given to the top selected paper. In addition, authors of selected papers will be invited to submit an extended version of their papers to a special issue of the Optical Switching and Networking journal published by Elsevier.
    Venue
ONDM 2010 will be held for the first time outside Europe, in Kyoto, Japan. Kyoto was the imperial capital of Japan from 794 to 1867 and houses no less than 17 sites listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list, 24 museums, 37 universities and numerous other temples and shrines. Through Kyoto's stunning historical architecture, wonderful art galleries and museums, the wealth of history of Japan can be seen and felt.
    Author guidelines
Paper submissions should not exceed 6 pages in double-column IEEE proceedings style. Accepted papers must exactly fulfill the IEEE requirements regarding the final submitted version. Authors must submit their papers as a PDF file through EDAS. Before submitting the paper to the EDAS website authors must ensure that their papers perfectly match the IEEE template requirements
