The 2010 International Conference on High Performance Switching and Routing (HPSR 2010) is the 11th in a series of annual conferences. Over the last 10 years, HPSR has evolved into an important forum of telecommunications and networking for the exchange of state-of-the-art knowledge and experience among researchers, engineers and practitioners from around the world. HPSR 2010 will be held at The University of Texas at Dallas, near the "Telecom Corridor" constituted by Alcatel-Lucent, Cisco Systems, Ericsson, Huawei, Nortel Networks, Nokia, Tektronix, and several other major industry leaders. The focus of HPSR 2010 is the innovative technology of high-speed, high-capacity and high-quality data transmission and switching for wired and wireless networks. HPSR 2010 will comprise of technical sessions for presentations of novel results, panel sessions for discussion of hot topics, and tutorials presented by leading experts. The conference solicits high-quality papers reporting original work in both theoretical and experimental research areas. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
    Innovative switch and router architectures
    Fast table look-up
High-performance packet scheduling hardware and algorithms
    High-speed packet processing
    Scalable fault-tolerant switching fabrics
    Optical switching and routing
Switching and routing in wireless and sensor networks
    Multilayer switching and resiliency
    Power-aware switching and routing
    Security-aware routers and switches
    Multicast switching and routing
    Routing and signaling protocols
    High-speed network security
    Traffic engineering and network control
    P2P networks routing
    IP over optical networks
    High-performance storage area networks
Routing in broadband wireless/wired access networks
Protection and fast recovery support in switches/routers
    Cross-layer optimization in switches/routers
Quality of services support in switches/routers
    Network monitoring, management and operations
    Performance measurement, analysis and evaluation
Traffic measurement and accounting support in switches/routers
    Paper Submission Guidelines
Authors are invited to submit original papers. Submitted papers must be unpublished, and must not be currently under review by another journal or conference. All submitted papers will be refereed for quality, correctness, originality and relevance. Paper length should be up to 6 pages in two-column IEEE Transactions style, 10pt. Accepted papers that are longer than 6 pages will be charged with an over-length fee per page for the 7th and 8th pages. No paper may exceed a maximum of 2 over-length pages. Papers must be submitted electronically as PDF files through the EDAS system (http://edas.info/). All submitted papers will be subject to peer reviews by Technical Program Committee members and other experts in the field, and accepted papers will appear in the conference proceedings and in IEEE Xplore. We encourage submission of high-quality papers reporting original work in both theoretical and experimental research areas. One Author of the paper is expected to deliver the presentation of the work at the conference. Proposals are solicited for tutorials. Please contact the Tutorial Chairs for further information.
