    and Politecnico di Bari, Facoltà di Ingegneria di Taranto, Italy
    The 2010 IEEE Workshop on Biometric Measurements and Systems for Security and Medical Applications (BioMS 2010) will be held in Taranto, Italy on September 9, 2010. The workshop aims to present and discuss various technological, methodological and application issues in these areas, especially concerning, but not limited to, advanced sensors, signal/image processing techniques, patter recognition approaches, systems and applications. Faculty, students, and researchers in industry are encouraged to contribute presentations on either completed research or "work-in-progress" research.
    Papers are solicited on all aspects of biometric theory and practice in biometric-based measurements and systems, specifically for security and medical applications.
    Important dates:
    1 June 2010: submission of extended abstracts or draft papers
    1 July 2010: acceptance/rejection notification
    15 August 2010: final manuscript submission and registration
