Call For Papers - CFP
The objective of the international workshop Web Semantics and Information Processing (WebS) is to bring together researchers, developers and practitioners to discuss research issues and experience in developing and deploying Semantic Web concepts, applications, and solutions being an international forum for the presentation of both theoretical and applicative results. This year's WebS builds on this tradition of facilitating cross-disciplinary exchange of ideas, experience and potential research directions. WebS 2012 seeks to introduce innovative methods, algorithms, and solutions to challenging problems in Semantic Web and Information Processing research and development initiatives.Submissions presenting current research work on both theoretical and practical aspects of Semantic Web application experiences in information processing are encouraged. Particularly, we strongly welcome submissions dealing with information extraction and natural language processing.TOPICSThe relevant topics include the following (but are not limited to):Semantic Web and OntologiesOntology modeling, reuse, extraction, and evolutionOntology mapping, merging, and alignmentOntology learning and metadata generationOntology evaluation (guidelines)Semantic Web and Information IntegrationInteroperability and data integration through semantic technologySearch, integration, and analysis on the Semantic WebLinked Data on the webRDF data publishing and accessMethods for linking, integrating and federating data on the webSemantic and context awarenessSemantic Web supporting business processesSemantic Web for e-sciencesSemantic Web for e-businessSemantic Web and Information QualityReliability of ontologiesOntology evaluation and reliability measurementOntological metricsOntology comparisonOntology reuse methodologies and methodsSemantic Web and Information Extraction / Natural Language ProcessingStructured data extraction from unstructured and semi-structured web textSentiment and opinion analysisAnalysis of user-generated contextText summarization, topic identification, metadata extractionQuerying and searching Semantic Web data (combinations with statistics, natural language, ...)Semantic Web content creation, annotation and extractionSemantic Web and Knowledge ManagementKnowledge management and sharingText mining on the web, Semantic Web mining in generalClustering, classification and other (data mining) techniques for knowledge managementPersonalization for knowledge managementSemantic Web inference schemesSemantic Web data querying and reasoningSemantic Web and its ApplicationsDatabase technologies for the Semantic WebIntelligent user interfaces for interacting with Semantic Web dataDynamic ontology generation and adaptationLanguages, tools and methodologies for semantic annotations of web dataApplications on mobile devicesEnhanced accessibility and multimodal interfacesReasoning
