    Call For Papers - CFP

2nd International Workshop on Modelling and Visualization of Web-Related Data
    (MoViX'10) August 30 - September 3, 2010,
    Bilbao, Spain
    http://ulita.ms.mff.cuni.cz/ws/MoViX10/
to be held in conjunction with DEXA 2010
    http://www.dexa.org/
Most of the existing data are currently provided, shared and exchanged over the Internet. For
instance, there is a huge amount of HTML and XHTML web pages that extend data with information
on their visualization, RDF data that add important information on semantics of the data, or
XML documents that involve data together with meta-data carrying information on their hierarchy.
Consequently, there rises the need for efficient and usable methods and tools for their design
and visualization. Such approaches help the user to better understand and describe the structure
and semantics of the data and, hence, to propose more appropriate processing methods. In addition,
various types of data models, conceptual schemas and visualization techniques enable users to
omit unnecessary technical details such as correct nesting of XML elements, case sensitivity,
matching of parenthesis, etc. and to focus on important aspects of the particular application
such as precise abstraction of the reality, data semantics, etc.
We believe that our specialized workshop will enable to bring all the related topics together
and provide an opportunity to deal with the known issues more thoroughly, to share the respective
ideas and to discuss them from various points of view. On the other hand, since correct modelling
of data and the knowledge of their structure as well as semantics is one of the key aspects for
their successful management, we believe that holding the workshop in conjunction with DEXA
conference will also provide the opportunity for sharing the ideas with data management experts
and finding new issues and challenges on both sides.
We invite original submissions from research communities dealing with different theoretical and
applied aspects of web-related data visualization and modelling. Areas of interests include, but
    are not limited to:
    * Conceptual modelling and visualization of web-related data
    * Visualization, browsing and exploration of Semantic Web and Web 2.0 data
    * Visualization of ontologies
    * Formal models for web-related data
    * Applications and specifics of existing visualization methods for web-related data
    * User participation in conceptual modelling of web-related data
    * Evolution of conceptual models of web-related data
    * Languages for description of visualization of web-related data

    Proceedings
Authors should submit papers reporting original works that are currently not
under review or published elsewhere. The paper should be submitted in PDF
format, with maximum length five (5) pages, following IEEE Conference Publishing
    Service (CPS) guidelines.
The review process will be two-round. During the first round each paper will be
reviewed by 2-3 PC members for its technical merit, novelty and relevance to the
workshop. On the basis of the reviews the PC chairs will prepare the list of
accepted, borderline and rejected papers. During the second round the PC members
will be asked to comment the list as well as all reviews. On the basis of this
discussion the PC chairs will make the final decision.
All papers accepted by MoViX'10 will be published in combined workshop
    proceedings by IEEE.
