    Call For Papers - CFP

    ADHOCNETS 2010
    2nd International ICST Conference on Ad Hoc Networks
    18-20 August 2010, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
    www.adhocnets.org
    CALL FOR PAPERS
    SPONSORS
    Sponsored by ICST
    Technically co-sponsored by CREATE-NET
    SCOPE
    Ad hoc networks, which cover a variety of network paradigms for specific purposes, such as mobile ad hoc networks, sensor networks, vehicular networks, underwater networks, underground networks, personal area networks, and home networks promise a broad range of applications in civilian, commercial, and military areas. The aim of the annual International Conference on Ad Hoc Networks (ADHOCNETS) is to provide a forum that brings together researchers from academia, as well as practitioners from industry to meet and exchange ideas and recent research work on all aspects of ad hoc networks. After the great success of ADHOCNETS 2009 held in Niagara Falls, Canada (23-25 September 2009), the second edition of the event, ADHOCNETS 2010, will be held in Victoria, Canada (18-20 August 2010). The conference will consist of technical sessions, panels, and workshops. The technical sessions will present original and fundamental research, while the panels and workshops will focus on development and application issues in this hot field.
    TOPICS
    The conference solicits original technical papers that were not previously published and are not currently under review for publication elsewhere. Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
    * Mobile ad hoc networks
    * Sensor networks
    * Vehicular networks
    * Underwater networks
    * Underground networks
    * Local area networks
    * Personal area networks
    * Body area networks
    * Home networks
    * Network architectural design
    * Network protocol design
    * Cross-layer design
    * MAC, routing, and transport protocols
    * Resource allocation and management
    * Network control and management
    * Power control and management
    * Topology control and management
    * Quality of service provisioning
    * OFDM techniques
    * MIMO techniques
    * Service discovery techniques
    * Node localization techniques
    * Data aggregation techniques
    * Time synchronization techniques
    * Network scalability issues
    * Reliability and fault tolerance issues
    * Security and privacy issues
    * Applications for ad hoc networks
    * Performance modeling and analysis
    * Experimental prototypes and testbeds
    WORKSHOPS
    We solicit workshop proposals on new and emerging topics in ad hoc networks. A proposal should focus on a specific theme of current interest and can attract high-quality submissions. Proposals for one-day or half-day workshops to be held in conjunction with the conference are solicited. A proposal can be a maximum of 2 pages long and should clearly identify the theme and specific topics of interest which define the scope of the workshop. The proposal should also include the workshop chairs and a list of program committee members.
    Please send workshop proposals in PDF format by 1 March, 2010 to the workshop co-chairs, Dr. Tommaso Melodia and Dr. Joel Rodrigues.
    For more information, please visit the conference website.
    PANELS
    We solicit panel proposals on hot and controversial topics in ad hoc networks. A proposal should focus on a specific topic of current interest related to ad hoc networks. A proposal should include the following information:
    * Topic
    * Name, affiliation and contact information of the panel organizer
    * Names, affiliations and contact information of panelists
    * One-page abstract
    Please send panel proposals in PDF format by 1 May 2010 to the Panel Chair, Dr. David G. Michelson
    For more information, please visit the conference website.
    PUBLICATION
    All submitted papers will go through a peer-review process. All accepted papers will be published by Springer in the Lecture Notes of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering (LNICST) series, and will be considered for indexing by Engineering Information (EI). The best papers (after extension) will be recommended for consideration of publication in the Elsevier Ad Hoc Networks Journal and the ICST Transactions on Mobile Communications and Applications.
