Deadline for submissions: January 8, 2016(Proceedings in Springer's LNBIP series)THEME OF THE CONFERENCESmart Business EcosystemsNo business is an island and competition is increasingly taking place between business networks and no longer between individual companies. Information technology has been an important enabler on the basis of information systems, such as enterprise resource planning, business intelligence as well as business process management. Driven by new internet-based technologies, such as cloud, mobile, social and ubiquitous computing as well as analytics and big data, smart infrastructures are emerging. They lead to new, more dynamic relationships between companies, suppliers and customers, which have referred to as ecosystems. Resources are crowdsourced as services via platforms that yield new business knowledge and business processes. A variety of aspects is relevant for designing and understanding the new smart business ecosystems. They reach from new business models, value chains and processes to all aspects of analytical, social and enterprise applications and platforms as well as cyber-physical infrastructures.
