The European Workshop on Compound Semiconductor Devices and Integrated Circuits held in Europe has a long-standing tradition and was established in 1973. Since then it has been regularly held at different places in Europe including Greece in 1981 and 2000 and Darmstadt, Germany in 1980. This time it returns to Darmstadt/Seeheim, Germany and is planned to be held in the Lufthansa’s New Conference Center located in the beautiful area of Bergstrasse. The Workshop aims to bring together scientists and engineers working in the area of III-V and other compound semiconductor devices and integrated circuits for microwave, mm-wave, and optoelectronic applications. Both, invited papers and short submitted papers will be presented during the three day meeting, detailing latest results on electronic, optoelectronic, and integrated devices. The idea is to address new results in short presentations to initiate an intensive and fruitful discussion of the relevant topics. Despite of the European character of the workshop series, interested people from all over the world are invited to attend.

The 10th International Workshop on Expert Evaluation and Control of Compound Semiconductor Materials and Technologies (EXMATEC 2010) will be held in Darmstadt/Seeheim (the same location where Wocsdice will be held) from May 19 ? 21, 2010. The two events complement each other covering a wide aspect of material and device considerations. Delegates are encouraged to participate in both events and take advantage of the very stimulating discussions and presentations planned on materials and devices and extending to electronic and optoelectronic circuits and applications.
