Special Session on Signal and Image Processing for Biometric Human Recognition: Theory, Methods, Applications and Systems

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Within the framework of the 2016 39th International Conference on Telecommunications and Signal Processing (TSP - http://tsp.vutbr.cz/) held during June 27-29, 2016, Vienna, Austria we invite you to present your latest contributions describing biometric human recognition approaches in terms of signal and image processing methods and algorithms. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Human recognition using signal- and image- based biometric modalities

- Human behaviour analysis, human activity understanding, person identification and/or verification

- Signal and image processing in biometric feature extraction and selection

- Image- and video-based soft biometrics

- Methods for estimating/extracting soft biometric traits

- Fusion-based identification and verification techniques

- Multimodal biometrics

- Online biometric systems, embedded biometric systems
