The 50th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control and European Control Conference will be held Monday through Thursday, December 12-15, 2011 at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek, Orlando, Florida. The conference will be preceded by technical workshops on Sunday, December 11, 2011.

This is the second time two of the most important conferences in control, the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) and the European Control Conference (ECC), will be celebrated as a joint conference. The IEEE CDC is the annual meeting of the IEEE Control Systems Society (CSS) while the ECC is organized every two years under the auspices of the European Union Control Association (EUCA). These conferences are conducted in cooperation with the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM), the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS), the Japanese Society for Instrument and Control Engineers (SICE), and the International Federation of Automatic Control (IFAC).

Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek is a new world-class hotel located in a private natural setting on 482 acres and surrounded on three sides by Walt Disney World© Resort. As part of Hilton's largest development in history, this Hilton hotel in Orlando is located adjacent to the first-ever newly built Waldorf Astoria outside of New York.

For the purpose of "review", all regular and invited papers are limited to eight (8) pages. PaperPlaza will not permit longer papers to be uploaded. The decision regarding the acceptance of each paper is at the discretion of the conference's Technical Program Committee.

For "publication" in the conference proceedings, all accepted and invited papers are limited to six (6) pages. Authors may upload longer manuscript up to a maximum of eight (8) pages total. However, each page in excess of six will incur a charge of USD 175.

If the paper is accepted, at least one of the authors listed on the paper must attend the conference and present the paper according to the scheduling decided by the conference's Technical Program Committee.

In the event that the presenter is unable to attend the conference for any reason, it is his responsibility to insure that the paper is presented by a qualified colleague.

At least one of the authors listed on the paper must register for the CDC-ECC 2011 at full member/non-member rate to upload the final manuscript.

Please note: If an author registers at reduced registration rate (student/retiree), s/he will not be able to use that registration to upload the final paper.
