    Call For Papers - CFP

The COOP conferences suggest that cooperative systems design requires deep understanding of collective activities, involving both artifacts and social practices. COOP 2012 will be the tenth COOP conference and twenty years on from the first conference in 1992 we are asking practitioners to reflect on what have been the successes and the failures, and what are the remaining challenges in our relevant domains. Contributions are solicited from a wide range of domains contributing to the fields of cooperative systems design and evaluation: CSCW, HCI, Information Systems, Knowledge Engineering, Multi-agents, organizational and management sciences, sociology, psychology, anthropology, ergonomics, linguistics, etc. This year we strongly welcome contributions that report on important industrial case studies, that for example show the impacts of employing particular methods, theories or technologies in a business environment, or that look at designing novel technologies for industry. Relatedly, authors may want to highlight particular theoretical, methodological, technical or practicalpoints raised by specific industrial requirements, constraints or opportunities.

Additionally, as usual, theoretical contributions, empirical studies reports, software development experiences, and innovative concepts are also welcome on such topics as:

Theoretical contributions, empirical studies reports, software development experiences, innovative concepts are welcome on such topics as:

? Conceptual frameworks for understanding cooperative work or collective practices

? Guidelines for designing cooperative systems

? The influence of technologies (intelligent devices, mobile Computing, ubiquitous computing, etc.) on cooperation

? Expertise, knowledge sharing and learning in cooperative work

? Communities and new forms of organization

? Innovative technological solutions and user interfaces for cooperation

? Methods for participatory design of cooperative systems

? Applications for, and studies of, social networking (including experiences in industrial contexts)

? Analysis of collective practices or collaborative work.

? Reports of usage experiences and case studies are welcome

COOP conferences have always been known as an excellent forum for both networking and learning.
