MotivationStandard Information Systems for learning purposes have matured, technologyis stable and masses of information can be made available to the learner. Most educational institutions are already using such learning systems eitherin a blended or purely online form for delivering parts of courses or fullyonline courses to their students. Besides such formal learning systems, we are surrounded by multimodalinterfaces which enable the inclusion of all human senses, and mobile, ubiquitous and pervasive technology is available everywhere and at all time.Current research deals with using such new technologies for the purpose oflearning, integrating them in current learning systems, and buildinglearning environments where students are provided with more authenticlearning experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. Furthermore, new technologies allow students to interact with the learning environment inmore natural and intuitive ways, using multimodal and smart interfaces fromvarious types of devices ranging from mobile phones to smart boards. The focus of this special workshop is on the provision of enhanced userexperience (UX), including making information more useful, usable andenjoyable. This is a challenge for interdisciplinary research on theintersection of Psychology and Computer Science. This workshop shall bring together researchers and practitioners fromPsychology and Computer Science, bridging classic Human-Computer Interactionresearch (HCI) with Usability Engineering (UE), aiming at bringing clearbenefits for learners!Topics of InterestTopics include (but are not limited):?Quasi-Intelligent Learning Objects (QILOS) ?Adaptive Learning Environments (ALEs) ?Multimodal Interfaces for e-Learning (MIeL) and Training (e-Training) ?Mobile, Ubiquitous, and Pervasive Learning and Training Technologies?Smart Technologies and Interfaces?Contextual Real-time Interaction in e-Learning?Psychological Aspects of Multimodal Interfaces ?Cross Media Design and Development ?Accessible Interfaces to Learning and Training Content ?Learning, Teaching and Motivation with didactical innovative e-LearningConceptsSubmission ProcedureAuthors are invited to submit papers in the following categories:?Full papers (14-20 pages)?Short papers (6-14 pages)?Posters (4 pages)The page length includes figures, tables, references and so on.
