    Call For Papers - CFP

The Handheld Learning Festival and Conference has consistently brought together some of the most inspiring and interesting international speakers from the education, digital media and technology worlds. In 2009 the Handheld Learning Festival and Conference broke all records in terms of attendance, international participation and the bringing together of the most diverse cohort of thought leaders on learning. The event trended globally on Twitter for 3 consecutive days, generated hours of online media and some of the most provocative blog postings from the education sector.

As one of our regular delegates from the US said "It's like TED for learning, only more accessible".

Now in its 6th year, the Handheld Learning Festival and Conference is established as the undisputed leader in its field.

Often imitated but never duplicated the event is renowned for bringing together an outstanding group of thought leaders, innovators and grass roots practitioners from the education, technology and media sectors to network, debate and shape the future.

Attracting nearly 2,000 delegates and attendees during the unique 3 day festival and conference it has become a world-class forum and must-attend event for international education and industry leaders alike.

The Festival and Conference will feature 3 days of lively interactive debates, learner and practitioner showcases, inspirational talks from leading thinkers, special interest breakouts, networking and social sessions.

The 3rd annual Handheld Learning Awards for Innovation and Best Practice is held on the evening of Monday 11th October and celebrates the true innovators and practitioners from the schools, universities, inclusion and business sectors. Places are limited to ticket holders only so please book early to avoid disappointment.

New in 2010 is the Futures & Experience Lounge where industry partners, research bodies and universities participate in showing what is new, what is in development or what is on the horizon. Also new this year is the App Village where App publishers (iPad/iPhone/Android/Blackberry/Windows Phone, etc) can demonstrate their latest Apps. Spaces are strictly limited and this is not a trade exhibition for pop-up stands and a table, we're looking for interactivity!
