CALL FOR PAPERS¡¡ãTopics in Risk Analysis with Multiple Criteria Decision Making¡¡À WorkshopIn ¡¡ãThe 20th International Conference on Multiple Criteria Decision Making¡¡À ConferenceLocation: Chengdu/Jiuzhaigou, ChinaDate: June 21-26th, 2009Workshop Chairs:Chongfu Huang, Academy of Disaster Reduction and Emergency Management, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, ChinaHaibo Wang, A. R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business, Texas A&M International University, Laredo, Texas USAObjectives and scopes of the workshop: Risk analysis has become an important issue in today¡¡?s social and economic environment. Recent financial crisis, food safety problems, and natural disasters highlight the importance of various types of risk analysis in human society. This workshop will provide an opportunity to researchers in various areas to present their works on evaluating health, finance, food safety, natural disaster, environmental and engineering risks using computer modeling, and other social and economic domain knowledge.Topics of interest include, but are not limited to the following:1.Quantitative models and theories in Risk Analysis using MCDM methodologies such as analytical hierarchy process, goal programming, artificial intelligent, evolutionary computation, system dynamics, chaos theory and morphological analysis.2.Applications in financial risk analysis using MCDM methodologies3.Applications in public health risk analysis and management using MCDM methodologies4.Applications in water security and risk analysis using MCDM methodologies5.Applications in energy risk analysis using MCDM methodologies6.Applications in environmental risk analysis such as waste management using MCDM methodologies7.Applications in agricultural risk analysis such as food safety using MCDM methodologies8.Applications in natural disaster risk analysis such as flood, earthquake, typhoon and hurricane using MCDM methodologies9.Applications in engineering risk analysis such as construction and transportation using MCDM methodologies10.Collaboration MCDM models for risk analysis using social and economic domain knowledge11.Integrated risk management based on multiple criteria decision makingPaper submission: submitted articles must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. The guideline of submission follows the conference general submission rules. All Submitted papers will be reviewed by a double-blind (at least three reviewers), non-blind, and participative peer review. These three kinds of review will support the selection process of those that will be accepted for their presentation at the conference, as well as those to be selected for their publication in special issues. Details are given in the conference web site. http://www.mcdm2009.cn/Authors should submit the papers to the chairs by emails at nortzwires.cn or hwangtamiu.edu. Please note that papers must not exceed eight pages in length, a paper without figures can be around 4500 words maximally.Selected papers will be fast-track reviewed for special issues in international journals such as Journal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, Decision Support Systems, Annals of Operations Research, and International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making. The workshop papers will be published in Lecture Notes in Economics and Mathematical Systems.Important Dates:Submission of full papers due: December 15, 2008Notification of workshop acceptance: January 1, 2009Camera-ready of accepted workshop papers: January 31, 2009Final advanced registration of workshop opens: January 31, 2009Paper Status must be OK: March 10, 2009Final advanced registration of workshop closes: March 10, 2009Workshop Program Committee:Ajith Abraham, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Chung-Ang UniversityBahram Alidaee, School o f Business Administration, The University of MississippiArijit Bhattacharya, Embark Initiative Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Dublin City University, IrelandYe-Sho Chen, E.
