    "Special Issue on Embedded Computing Systems: Techniques and Trends"

    Embedded systems are closely related to our daily life, and they are present everywhere, from smart appliances to automated trains. As the fastest growing industry, embedded systems have great societal and environmental impact, and the design and implementation of safe and efficient embedded software is of outmost importance.

    The main objective of this Special Issue is to provide the best international communication medium for the research community and facilitate the recognition of leading contributions in embedded computing and systems.

    In addition to papers that are directly submitted to the Special Issue, we also invite authors of papers accepted for the 7th IEEE International Conference on Embedded Software and Systems (ICESS’10), Bradford, United Kingdom, to extend and resubmit their manuscripts with at least 30% new material over and above the ICESS’10 conference paper. The extended manuscripts will undergo a second peer review process to ensure that papers published in The Computer Journal are of top quality.

    Submission Guidelines

    Submissions must conform to the layout, format and page limit guidelines of The Computer Journal, following the guidelines provided in the manuscript preparation instructions.The work submitted must be in the form of high quality, original papers, which are not or have not been submitted for publication elsewhere. The papers should be formatted according to the journal style, and will submitted via the journal web submission route (please indicate that the submission is for “the special issue on ECSTT” in the cover letter). Also forward a PDF version of the complete manuscript to

    All papers submitted papers will be peer reviewed one the basis of originality, quality and relevance to this Special Issue.
