Call For Papers - CFP
In recent few years, wireless networks have become incredibly popular. Various types of wireless networks such as cellular networks, wireless LANs, ad-hoc networks, sensor networks, and mesh networks have been deployed in many places. In addition, the number of wireless terminals and information generated by such terminals has increased rapidly. Thus, we are in a time which we could call the "Information-Explosion Era."This workshop aims to deliver a platform for discussions and technical presentations on the current challenges and solutions, as well as future research directions on data management techniques applied to wireless networks in the information-explosion era.Topics of InterestTopics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following areas:Data management for wireless applicationsData aggregation in wireless sensor networksMetadata management and exchanges for wireless applicationsMiddleware support for mobile and ubiquitous computingOperating system and network support for mobile devicesIntegration and interworking of wired and wireless networksSecurity issues of data management in wireless networksQoS issues for data-intensive services in wireless networksQuery processing for mobile usersQuery processing for sensor networksTransactions and workflows in wireless networksContext aware computing and location-based servicesManaging intensive data streams over wireless networksHandling inaccuracy, unreliability and data lossCorss layer approach in wireless networksData mining and warehousing in wireless networks
