Call For Papers - CFP
We invite submissions of papers detailing original research contributions on any topic related to persistent object life cycle management, persistent object data management, objects and databases, and object oriented persistence technologies. These topics may address issues related to data models and database design, software engineering and application frameworks, database architectures and systems, database languages and theoretical foundations, novel applications. Selected papers will be presented at the conference and the papers published in the conference proceedings (publication details to be provided later).Topics of InterestWe recognize that the world of data management is changing. The linkage to service platforms, operation within scalable (cloud) platforms, object-relational bindings, NoSQL databases, and new approaches to concurrency control are all becoming hot topics both in academia and industry. We therefore also encourage papers in any of these areas.General topics of interest include, but are not restricted to:Object Database Modeling and Designobject data modelsdesign of object databasessemantics of object databasesObject Database Frameworks and Software Engineeringapplication development and application frameworkssoftware engineering issuesconstraint models and mechanismsevent models and mechanismsobject-oriented frameworks for data managementontologies and object storesObject Databasesobject storage systemsobject query languagestransaction management for object databasesaccess structures and indexing in object databasesdistributed object databasesarchitecture and engineering of object database enginesevaluation of object databasesbenchmarksnovel applications of object databasesobject databases in educationIntegration of Object-Oriented Programming Languages with databasesIntegrating objects and databasesNovel design of Programming Languages for objects and databaseObject/Relational mappingsNovel design and/or Implementation of O/R Systems.BenchmarksCloud Data StoresNovel design and/or Implementation of Cloud Data StoresNovel Application of Cloud Data StoresBenchmarksDocument StoresNovel design and/or Implementation of Document StoresNovel Application of Document StoresNoSQL DatabasesNovel design and/or Implementation of NoSQL DatabasesNovel Application of NoSQL DatabasesBenchmarksSubmission of PapersThe deadline for submissions is 30 May 2010.Research papers should be submitted through the online submission system. Papers should be formatted according to the LNCS guidelines and must not be longer than 15 pages. Research papers should be original and the authors should clearly indicate the contributions of the work relative to the state of the art.ICOODB 2010 conference proceedings will be published by Springer as an LNCS (Lecture Notes in Computer Science) volume.
