    Call For Papers - CFP

The number of devices empowered with wireless communication capabilities has experienced an expressive growth over recent years. There is an increasing interest in using such devices to support applications and services in a wireless setting. However, there are many challenges in interconnecting wireless devices in a robust, efficient, and decentralized manner. Challenges that need to be addressed include fast adaptation to changes in operating conditions, fault-tolerance, scalability, QoS assurance, mobility management, resource sharing and security. With this in mind, the Workshop on Ad-hoc Wireless Communications solicits papers presenting original and unpublished work on the following topics:

    1.Application and Services

    2.Topology Control

3.Energy and Power Control and Management

4.Mobility Prediction, Location Tracking, and Location Based Services

5.Routing (Unicast, Broadcast, Multicast, Geocast) protocols

    6.Challenges in Transport Protocols

7.Resource Allocation and Spectrum Sharing Techniques

    8.Medium Access Control

    9.Radio Link Protocols

10.Scalability, Availability, Link Quality, Robustness, Quality of Service, and Fault-tolerance

    11.Cross-layer design and optimization

    12.Heterogeneity and Interconnection with Internet/LANs/MANs/WPANs

13.Performance Evaluation, Simulations, and Theoretical studies

    14.Security and Privacy

15.Trust, Reputation and Collaborative ad hoc networks

    16.Interoperability and Standardization Evolution

    17.Testbeds and Experimentation Platforms

    18.Context-aware Services and Protocols

    Submissions Guideline

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit an electronic version of an original, unpublished manuscript in PDF or Postscript format to by July 10th, 2010. Accepted and presented papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society and distributed to the participants on both CD-ROMs and USB drives.

Submissions should include abstract, key words, the e-mail address of the corresponding author, and must not exceed 8 pages including tables and figures. For formating instructions and details, please reference to the IEEE Computer Society’s Conference Publishing Service. Submissions imply the willingness of at least one author to register, attend the workshop, and present the paper.
