We are writing with some great news about the Handheld Learning Festival and Conference that was scheduled for this October.

As you may know we have recently had a change of government here in the UK. This has brought about a number of changes, creating opportunities that my colleagues and I feel we have had to consider deeply and evolve our plans accordingly.

Learning Without Frontiers is a disruptive think tank that connects over 30,000 global thought leaders and innovators from the education, digital media, technology and entertainment sectors to explore new ways to radically improve learning whilst making it universally accessible.

With your help, since 2004, we have hosted vibrant online communities and challenging conferences to the point where our Handheld Learning Conference has established itself as the UK's largest independent conference about learning, teaching and the role of affordable technology. It is also the largest conference about learning and mobile computing worldwide.

We are very proud that our unique and creative approach has engaged international policy makers, thought leaders, innovators and grassroots practitioners alike. All are enthusiastic about how new and sometimes disruptive technologies challenge conventional learning and teaching methods. You and we know that enabling technological solutions for learning have found a rich seam of interest globally. This has led to ever increasing delegate numbers at our conferences, establishing active communities who share best practice and inspire others with sustainable models that work.
