    India is a country with tremendous potential for distance education. Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning, Pune, a leading private provider of open & distance learning in India, has taken initiative to organize this conference, mainly with a view to opening up a forum for educationists and researchers especially from the developing countries to come together, understand and share information.

    The main theme of the Conference is Open and Distance Learning as a key growth driver for socio-economic development, with the five sub-themes, ICT, Quality, Sustainable Development , Student Support Services and Governance .
